Welcome to Electric Mud BBQ, where I share my adventures in the kitchen.
First, a bit about me. My name is Peggy Turner, and I love visiting restaurants! Unfortunately, not having an unlimited budget, I can’t visit a new one all the time. That leads me to my kitchen, which I’ve almost turned into a lab of deliciousness. I love to experiment with different cuisines, especially barbeque and grilled food.
On this blog, I share everything from my own cooking experiments to stuff that makes life easier in the kitchen. Needless to say, I love testing out brand new kitchen equipment – anything and everything that makes any kitchen job easier, for that matter.
Apart from that, I also share various kitchen hacks that significantly speed up repetitive tasks (like peeling an apple!). Kitchen time shouldn’t be boring, and to ensure that it isn’t – you need to equip yourself with the best tools of the trade. You’ll find a ton of buying guides on all sorts of tools here, as well.
Here are a few things that I don’t do, however:
- Republishing age-old rehashed recipes that you can also find on 1,432 other blogs. In fact, I hardly ever publish recipes here, as they aren’t a focus of EM BBQ.
- Suggesting you cooking equipment that are more suitable for the kitchens of five-star hotels, rather than that of a regular individual for whom cooking is just a passion.
- Writing about things that I don’t know much about. Seriously, I hate kitchen disasters as much as you do! So, I always double check my writings for factual accuracy before making a single one of them live.
